a soft intro to perceptual hashing

Nice "initiation" article/post about "Perceptual Hashing".

Its continuation (of sorts) it's also a worthy read (2nd jump).

 depixelizing pixel art

A clever algorithm/paper that presents a way to upscale/vectorize pixel art, with interesting results.

Quality can't be gained but, "educated guesses" (like in this case), can go a long way in improving perceived quality when dealing with the magnification of such small pixel representations.

 it spells trouble

A handy (and, also, the best possible) mnenmonic for remembering the CSS shorthand (pun!) for setting the margin/padding property:

it spells TRouBLe

This works well for remembering both the starting point (Top) and the remaining order (Right-Bottom-Left).

Modular electronics for the masses. Bringing this approach to the physical world allows for easy(ier) assembly/programming, and thus, effectively, lowering the entry barriers for the uninitiated.

Plus.

All the modules are also open source.
